HÖCH, HANNAH
Hannah Höch “Anna Therese Johanne Höch” (November 1, 1889 Gotha, Germany – May 31, 1978 West Berlin, Germany) was a graphic designer and collage artist of the Dada movement.
She is most known for her work of the Weimar period and she was one of the originators of photomontage.
In the years 1933 to 1945, Höchs’s work was regarded by the Germans as “degenerate” and was subject to a ban on the exhibition.
