GILBERT, STEPHEN

Stephen Gilbert (15.01.1910 – 12.01.2007) was a British painter and sculptor. He was very close to the French avant-garde of the 1950s. He studied architecture at the Slade School of Art in London from 1929-1932 and moved to Paris in 1937. He became a member of the CoBrA group in 1948.
