EEMANS, MARC
Marc Eemans (Dendermonde 1907 – Brussels 1998) was a painter, poet and art critic and early pioneer of constructivist abstraction before becoming interested in surrealism around 1925, during which time he exhibited with René Magritte and Salvador Dalí.
He was the last deceased surrealist of the first epoch.
