Man Ray ”Emmanuel Rudnitzky” (August 27, 1890 Philadelphia, USA – November 18, 1976 Paris, France) was an photographer, film director, painter and object artist.
Man Ray is one of the most important artists of Dadaism and Surrealism.
It is regarded as an important source of inspiration for modern photography and film history, as well as an experimental film. His numerous portrait photographs of contemporary artists document the high stage of cultural life in the Paris of the 1920s.
He spend most of his live in Paris.
