Camille Bryen “Camille Briand” (September 17, 1907, Nantes, France – May 8, 1977, Paris, France) was a poet, painter and graphic artist. He was considered one of the most important figures of the French Tachism.
In 1932 he published under the pseudonym Camille Bryen a collection of drawings, collages and poems entitled “Expériences”.
As a painter, Camille Bryen is attached to a subjective, expressive abstraction. Together with Georges Mathieu, He founded movement “Non-figuration-psychique”.
